31January 2015. Pangasinan.

Mom read in the newspaper about the miracles of Our Lady of Manaoag, so we paid a visit. She prayed for her promotion, I prayed. When mom got what she prayed for, we went back for Thanksgiving. It has always been that way since.

Like many churches in the Philippines, the Shrine has undergone major renovations since its commencement in 1701. The ivory image of Our Lady was canonically crowned in 1926 after accounts were made as to the favors granted by Our Lady to her devotees.

Going to Manaoag nowadays is a breeze, thanks to SCTEX and TPLEX. Although I missed the pilgrimage-like journey of riding buses and tricycles on dirt road. Progress, same faith.
On our way home, we dropped by the Municipality of Villasis, Pangasinan's Vegetable Bowl, where they sell fruits and vegetables at ridiculously low prices.
Until my next Church visit,
