26-28 January 2013. Cebu.
We were supposed to be a company of three but I chose to stay behind because the little one was just recovering from his illness a week back. Jas and his sister, Jane, though, proceeded as planned, so on the wee hours of January 26, they landed at Mactan - Cebu International Airport for a three-day Cebuano adventure.
The trip was booked way back in November 2012, when Cebu Pacific was on sale. The itinerary was to spend a night in Malapascua on the first day, tour the city of Cebu on the second day, and taste the Skywalk Extreme adventure on the last day.
Purple Snapper Dive Resort was our home in Malapascua. It has 25 native rooms, and the air conditioned room costs Php2,800 for three persons inclusive of breakfast. The resort has its own pool, though it is a mere 100 meters away from the island's primary shore, Bounty Beach. Upon arriving at the island, Jas and Jane took a habal habal to the resort for Php20 per person.
Palazzo Pensionne became a temporary home for the two upon reaching Cebu City. The hotel was booked via Agoda with an overnight rate of Php2,050 for three inclusive of breakfast. Located along Sepulveda Street, the hotel was chosen because of its reasonable rates and its accessibility to almost everything. It may look simple from the outside but the room was really comfortable and the bathroom, which I am so particular about, passed the test. I also commend the staff for their prompt reply to every query I make through text messages. For some reason, they don't answer calls.
